The Price of Your Wedding Flowers

The pricing of wedding flowers can appear to be somewhat of a mystery to couples planning a wedding and brides usually ask me for guidance about budgeting and prices.

Because each wedding I do is designed individually, no two weddings are the same. Flowers do not have a fixed price and the cost is determined by many factors, the variety chosen, the style of the arrangement, the size of the event and therefore the quantity of flowers required, as well as the season. Weather conditions can affect flower prices and availability, and flower prices at market are constantly subject to change. For example, demand on Mothers Day or Valentines Day means flower prices are likely to increase considerably.

My prices include an initial free consultation, and include the time I spend designing your floral decoration as well as visiting your venue(s) sourcing props or decorative items, liaising with your caterer, marquee company, venue and other supplier. Buying, caring for and arranging your flowers. Setting up and decorating at the venue(s), finishing styling table and receptions areas, delivery of bouquets and buttonholes, assistance with moving arrangements from church to reception and clearing up flowers and vases after the event and most likely lots of time and extras which are all part of the outstanding JLF service.

When we meet for your consultation it is really helpful if you have an idea of how much you want to spend so we can discuss floral decoration which will fit within your given budget and I can offer guidance as to how to use the right seasonal flowers and how to give you the best effect for your money.

There are endless combinations of flowers and foliage so it is normally possible to come up with a beautiful design for every budget.

I would suggest as a rough guide you allow between 10-20% of your overall wedding budget for flowers and décor.
